SERMON TITLE: THE SEASON OF RESTORATION

Main Scripture: Joel 2:25

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”
Joel 2:25 (KJV)

INTRODUCTION

What is Restoration?

Restoration is the act of bringing back what was damaged, stolen, taken away, broken, or lost.

There are many areas in a person’s life that may require restoration. Examples include:

Marriage

Business

Church

Identity

Dreams

Vision

Family

God is a God of restoration. He has the power to bring back what has been lost, rebuild what has been broken, repair what has been damaged, and restore what the enemy has stolen.

John 10:10

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give life and abundance. Whatever the enemy has stolen or destroyed, God is able to restore.

Psalm 23:3

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

God is the one who restores. He restores the soul, renews strength, revives hope, and brings His people back into the place He intended for them.

1. GOD IS A GOD OF RESTORATION

Reference: Joel 2:25

God promised:

“I will restore to you the years…”

Restoration is not only about recovering things. God can also restore years, seasons, opportunities, relationships, dreams, and purpose that appeared to have been lost.

When God brings restoration:

Broken things can be rebuilt.

Lost things can be recovered.

Damaged relationships can be healed.

Dreams can come alive again.

Vision can be renewed.

Families can be restored.

Businesses can rise again.

Ministries and churches can experience revival.

THIS IS THE SEASON OF RESTORATION.
